Management
Mike graduated from Texas A&M University in 1960 with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering. After working as a drilling engineer for Placid Oil Company, Pure Oil Company & J. Ray McDermott, he became Vice President of Buttes Gas & Oil Company, Vice President of Crescent Petroleum (a subsidiary of Buttes), and President of Progress Drilling and Marine (also a subsidiary of Buttes). He then became Chairman and CEO of Tiger Oil International which was purchased by Cleveland Cliffs Iron Company in 1978. He was President of Cliffs Drilling Company from 1978-1988, then was President and Chairman of the Board from 1988-1991 when he retired. He was a co-founder of Tri-C in 1985 and Chairman until 2009, and is currently an investor in Tri-C's exploration program.
Scott graduated from Texas A&M University in 1982 with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering. After college, he worked as a Petroleum Engineer for Texas Oil & Gas Corporation. He was a co-founder of Tri-C in 1985. He is currently President of Tri-C and involved in working with the entire Tri-C staff to generate, drill, complete and hook-up wells drilled in our annual exploration program.
Bo graduated from the University of Texas with a B.B.A. in Petroleum Land Management in 1983. For two years, he worked for an oil & gas lease broker prior to joining Tri-C in May, 1985. His current responsibilities involve supervising all land department functions.
Mark graduated from the University of Houston with a B.B.A. and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1988. Prior to joining Tri-C, Mark served as Accounting Operations Manager for Oxoco, Inc. and held various positions at Inexco, Inc. He joined Tri-C in 1987 and currently oversees all accounting and financial operations. In addition, he administers human resources and internal data systems.
Chris graduated from the University of Texas with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering in 1990. He joined Schlumberger the same year as a field engineer logging wells from 1,000' to 20,000' deep. He was also the environmental/safety engineer for his district. In June of 1993, Chris joined Tri-C as a Drilling and Production Engineer then became the Operations Manager in 2003, Vice President of Operations in 2008, then COO in 2009. Since 1993, Chris has drilled and completed in excess of 600 wells ranging from 1,500' to 19,900' deep. His current responsibilities include supervising all drilling and completion operations for the company.
Al graduated from the University of Texas with a B.A. in English in 1986. Prior to joining Tri-C in February, 1991, he was an Independent Landman. Al's responsibilities at Tri-C include leasehold acquisition and maintenance, and oil and gas contract negotiations.
Engineering

Stacey attended Houston Community College and has 18 years experience in the oil and gas industry. She has held positions in land, geology and engineering. She was the assistant to the Executive Vice President at Weaver Exploration Company where she coordinated activities between all three departments. In June of 1992, Stacey joined Tri-C and is currently the Regulatory Coordinator. Her duties include supervising all regulatory permitting and reporting procedures in Texas and Louisiana. She is also responsible for validating monthly crude oil runs and gas sales volumes.
Stephanie graduated from Wharton County Jr. College with an AA in Business and Accounting in 1984. She worked at Sonat Exploration Company for twelve years where she held various positions in Accounting, Production and Regulatory reporting. Stephanie joined Tri-C in June 2010 and is responsible for drilling and production reporting as well as assisting the accounting department.
Geo Science
Walter graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1988 with a B.S. in Geology and the University of Texas in 1992 with a M.A. in Geology. Prior to Tri-C, he was a Senior Geophysicist at Dominion Exploration & Production, where he was part of their Gulf Coast Exploration Group. He had previously worked for Visos Exploration and Marathon Oil Company. Walter joined Tri-C in February, 2005 and is responsible for generating exploration and development projects and evaluating outside prospect submittals.
John graduated from West Virginia University in 1975 with a BS in Geology and in 1977 at Virginia Tech with a MS in Geology. He began his career with Chevron in New Orleans and left Chevron 27 years later after working out of the Houston office since 1990. He worked for Chevron as a prospect generator and as a District and Division Geologist in multiple onshore and offshore US basins. He joined Cabot in 2004, to work the onshore Gulf of Mexico trends. John joined Tri-C in March of 2009 and is responsible for prospect generation and evaluation of outside opportunities.
Chris graduated from Eastern New Mexico University in 2002 with a BBA in Computer Information Systems. He began his career managing G&G data for Clayton Williams Energy in South Louisiana from 2003 to 2007. From 2007 until 2009 when he joined Tri-C, Chris managed international G&G data for Terralliance Technology in Houston
John graduated from the State University of New York College at Brockport in 1975 with a BS in Geology and in 1980 from the University of Idaho with a MS in Geology. He began his career with Gulf Oil in Houston and left Gulf 5 years later, and for 25 years has worked as a prospect generator for several small independents in Houston. He has concentrated his exploration efforts primarily in the onshore Coastal Texas and Louisiana Tertiary trends. John joined Tri-C in July of 2009 and is responsible for prospect generation and evaluation of outside opportunities.
Gene graduated from Midwestern State University in 1985 with a B.S. in Geology and Southern Methodist University in 1989 with an M.S. in Geology. Prior to Tri-C he was a Geologic Lead for the Maverick Basin Asset team for Newfield Exploration. Over 13 years at Newfield Gene was responsible for exploration in the Val Verde Basin of West Texas, the Gulf Coast/Maverick Basin and offshore shelf of the Gulf of Mexico. Gene previously worked at 3DX where he was project lead for multiple projects in the Texas Gulf Coast trends and at Vastar Resources/ARCO where he was exploration geologist for various areas of the Gulf of Mexico shelf. He joined Tri-C in March of 2010 and is responsible for generating exploration and development projects as well as evaluation of outside prospect submittals.
Will graduated with a B.S. in Geology, minor in Mathematics, from Grand Valley State College in 1985. He also graduated from Wright State University with a M.S. in Geology, emphasis in Geophysics and Hydrogeology, in 1987. Most recently, Will had screened Gulf Coast and Offshore GOM prospects for Continental Land & Fur since 2007. Between 1999 and 2007, Will worked as a geophysical consultant, generating Offshore and Gulf Coast prospects on behalf of Houston Energy, Westport Resources, and Petroquest Energy. Prior to consulting, Will had generated prospects for several Houston-based independent oil & gas companies, including being a founding member of Newfield Exploration. Will began his career at Tenneco Oil Company in 1987 in Lafayette.
Kevin graduated from the Colorado School of Mines in 1978 with a degree in Geophysical Engineering. Prior to joining Tri-C as Exploration Manager, he was Exploration Manager and a founding member of the Houston office of Westport Oil and Gas Company, ultimately helping them go public in October, 2000. He also consulted for LLOG Exploration generating prospects in offshore Texas and Louisiana on both sides of the shelf and in deep water. Kevin also has worked for the Superior Oil Company and McMoran Oil and Gas. Kevin joined Tri-C as Exploration Manager in November 2012.
Land

Terry is a graduate of Texas A&M with a B.B.A. in Business Management. She worked as a Land Contract Analyst for ANR Production Company for four years before joining Tri-C in July of 1988. Her duties as Lease Analyst include setting up and maintaining all lease files and division order files, distributing AFE's and prospect summaries to working interest partners, and assisting Land Manager and Landman in various projects.
Ben graduated from the University of Texas with a BBA in Finance in 2007. He worked as an Independent Landman prior to joining Tri-C in February, 2010. In addition to his role as Business Development Manager, Ben's land responsibilities include leasehold acquisition and contract negotiations.
Accounting

Karen received her degree from Victoria College. Prior to Tri-C, Karen served five years as drilling and production secretary/coordinator for Sabine Corporation. She joined Tri-C in 1986 as office manager and accountant. She is responsible for Revenue and JIB's and all account payables and receivable transactions.
